Gamescom 2026
Privateer Gaming made their LAN debut at Gamescom in Cologne. The team almost didn’t make it to the event when, due to unforeseen and private circumstances, Praisy was unable to make the LAN after rejoining the team to finish the Main season. Thankfully Cansky was available and on hand to make the journey to Cologne to compete with the team.
Now underway the team only dropped one map on the way to the final where they played against BlueJays Talent. The series was won convincingly in a 2-0 fashion with 13-9 wins on Ancient and Inferno. A massive congratulations to the whole team!
That wasn’t the only win of the event. Imperfection and Devirose won a second firstplace medal in the 2v2 wingman tournament.
Broadcast upgrades
This season we really wanted to boost our broadcast set up and we felt the best way to do this would be to bring in experienced casters and observers who could take some of the workload off myself and Oliver (Bigfoot). After putting out the call and trialling several people for both roles we managed to get CherryJ, Punchy, ryBBah and Cameron King to work with us towards the end of Season 56.
The quality of broadcasts they produced so far has been amazing and they are such a valuable addition to the organisation, I hope they will be working with us for much longer as we level up our projects in the esports space. All those mentioned above are great professionals who really go above and beyond to make excellent broadcasts. They are very competent and can be trusted to get on with things individually - I cannot recommend them enough to any tournament organiser or team… so long as your games don’t clash with ours!
ESEA Main Season 56
Moving into season 56 the roster for Privateer Gaming was locked in without the familiar faces of InN and Praisy. Ghost and Sottyk would take their place. The season started with a big 13-4 victory over Smix on Ancient. A new player was introduced to the roster and in order to give the team time to prepare the majority of games were rescheduled towards the end of the regular season.
The roster was scrimming and embedding strats to do as well as possible in their first Main season having been promoted from Entry in season 55. To put a competitive edge to their preparations Heman and his team won two SkinBaron cups picking up some early prize money. Once it was time to return to the Main season results seesawed backwards and forwards until the team finished with a 7-7 record narrowly missing out on the play offs. A solid result for the first season in ESEA Main but the team will be looking to improve on this with more roster stability throughout Season 57.
