Super Smash Bros Melee
Since the last newsletter we have signed up one of the best players in the UK and Ireland’s premier talent, Frogchip. He has been competing in Privateer Gaming colours since Storm Voyage where he picked up a convincing tournament win. He has been competing across Ireland and even took a trip to America where he played big names in Melee like Hungrybox.
We are so excited to watch Froggy progress and develop. He is going to be creating some content for us at events he attends so tune into our Youtube and X to get notifications when his content is being released.
Grassroots Esports and Vacancies
This organisation exists to promote and improve grassroots Esports in the United Kingdom. We are working really hard behind the scenes to launch two projects simultaneously. Firstly, we are trying to put on several Esports LAN events across the UK in three different game titles. More information will follow on our X and the events page on our website.
Our other project is that we are recruiting Youth Coaches who will go into schools and youth groups to bring the joy of Esports to young people. For more details on this vacancy please head to our website on the Esports as a curriculum tab. This is paid work.

Broadcast updates
Really happy to announce we will have Mike “Punchy” and Cameron King signed on officially for the next ESEA Season. We are excited to say we are giving the Gents a season long payment providing work for broadcast talent we really believe in!
In the background we have recruited and are training up a really exciting broadcast talent prospect called Melody who we are hoping will become a staple on Privateer Gaming broadcasts in the future.
ESEA Main Season 57
Our goals for this season was to translate our LAN win at Gamescom to a main season that reflected our abilities. WIth high hopes of promotion the bar was set at making a run in ESEA Main.
The regular season was a scintillating watch as the team cruised to an 8-2 record before the run up to the playoffs. Our final record for the regular season was 8-6. Improving on last season's record, reaching our goal and getting into the playoffs. During our run in playoffs we managed to go 2-2 getting within two wins of Advanced. Hoping for big things in Season 58 and maybe we will finally get into ESEA Advanced! Hard work and practice ahead for Heman and his band of merry men.
